Hey guys,
So some of you may
know already that I am from Florida. I was born and raised in Florida and I
haven’t lived anywhere else. And since I
am from Florida I pretty much grew up going to Disney and my entire family is
obsessed! We try to go at least once a year, if not more. I was originally
going to do this post when we actually took these photos but I was totally busy
with school and I kept forgetting to write the posts. However, I still really
wanted to post about it because it’s a really fun topic to discuss and learn
about.
If you are a Disney
fan then you may already know what this is but today I’m going to be talking
about “Disney Bounding.” I’m not entirely sure where this name came from or who
came up with it but what it means, is someone who dresses up as a Disney
character. And as you can read from the title, I dressed up as Cinderella. I
wasn’t entirely the biggest fan of the idea and since I was so busy with
school, I didn’t really have a lot of time to go out and buy a new outfit. So for
my two outfits, because there are two, all I purchased were the shirts. I
already owned the shorts, the shoes, and the handbags.
The reason we decided
to do this was because my mom’s birthday is at the end of April, which is
typically right in the middle of the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. We have
been attending this event every single year for her birthday for about the last
7 or 8 years. And for the last 3 or 4 years my mom likes to pick a different
theme for each day that we are there and we each wear coordinating outfits that
match the theme. It’s kind of like when families wear matching t-shirts with
the family name on it except we aren’t dressed exactly alike. For example, one
time we all wore floral shirts!
My two favorite
Disney princesses are Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), which is why I
chose them for my outfits. I definitely could have done a better job when it
came to the outfits but like I said before I didn’t really have any time to
purchase anything because the end of April, beginning of May was typically
finals week for me for the last four years of my life. Since these photos are
so old, I don’t have exact links to the items but I have linked items that are
very similar. I have also linked a few items in the widget below if you want to try and recreate your own outfits and participate in Disney Bounding!
P.S. if you have ever contemplated attending the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, I highly
recommend going! It’s a great event with a lot of beautiful topiaries and a lot
of different garden themed areas throughout the park. They also set up food
carts where you can buy food that is exclusive to the event. It is actually
very similar to the Food and Wine Festival that they have every year except
this event is very family friendly and there is something for everyone! I also found a link to a tiara headband if anyone wants one (haha)!
Thanks for stopping
by!
