My 25th Birthday Wishlist

Hey guys,

So my birthday is in about 2 months and I am so excited and kind of annoyed at the same time. I'm not really the biggest fan of turning 25! I'm starting to feel kind of old and I don't really like that. I also don't really know what I want to do for my birthday so that's a little frustrating as well. I keep going back and forth between ideas and I can't come to a final decision.

Anyways, I'm sure I will come up with something! So here's a list of things that I've had my eye on lately! This list is mostly to help some of the people I love who might have a hard time trying to find something for me for my birthday! Apparently I'm really hard to shop for!

The beauty products are all things that I've never tried before but they all come from some of my favorite brands and I love trying new products made by them because they work so well! Also, I know that the converse shoes seem kind of late to the trend but the reason why is because the two that I already have, I've had probably since middle school and they don't really fit anymore and they also are really dirty and I feel like it's time for a new pair!

As a disclaimer, obviously I don't expect all or any of these items, like I said earlier they are just ideas for the certain people that might be shopping for me recently and might need some ideas!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post even though I didn't really say much! By the way today is my first official day at my new job! Yesterday was my first day but it was actually just orientation! I will hopefully be doing a blog post on my job in about a month or two once I get more comfortable! So keep an eye out on that!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey guys,

So last weekend my family took a day trip to Boca Grande, Gasparilla Island! It's basically this cute little beach town that's technically a part of the same county as the one I live in but you have to drive a little over an hour and a half and pass through another county just to get to this little town. It's kind of a crazy idea if you think about! But anyways we loaded up our bikes and headed on our way to celebrate my dads birthday and fathers day!

We drove all the way to the end of the island parked in the public parking lot for a small fee and unloaded our bikes. We hoped on our bikes head back in the direction of town. We biked to the lighthouse first which we did not go up because I was the only one wearing flip flops and you can only go up if you are wearing closed toed shoes. When we got back to our bikes there was a turtle trying to cross the street so we quickly made sure that he went back in the correct direction because turtles are super cute!

Once we got to town we locked up our bikes and started to walk around and explore! We were all a little hungry so we went searching for a snack. We found one at a little convenient store that had the super cute pink gas pump outside of it! Once we were done with our snack we started to walk towards the hotel thats on the island. The last time we were there the hotel was closed because it closes during season. It's super cute inside and it's set up like an older hotel with actual keys for the rooms! There's a couple boutiques inside the hotel and a couple places to eat. There also a golf course for those who enjoy that sort of thing!

After we were done exploring the hotel, we walked down to the end the street to this little pier/dock and we saw a dolphin swimming back up the canal! I absolutely love dolphins and I think that they are super cute. I love whenever we get the chance to see them out in the wild! Next, it was time for lunch and so we headed back up the street to where all of the shops and restaurants are. We ate at The Loose Caboose which was really tasty! It's a very relaxed environment and a seat yourself type of place.

After lunch we decided to go exploring around town and check out some of the shops! We didn't buy anything but they were all very cute and had some pretty decent brands in them such as Sail to Sable, Lilly Pulitzer, and Vineyard Vines. After we did some more exploring, we got back on our bikes head back to the truck. We didn't really make anymore stops after this, it was extremely hot and we were all exhausted! Once we were back at the truck and everything was loaded up, my dad wanted to take a walk on the beach real quick so he and I did that while my mom and sister waited for us in the car.

Honestly, it was such a great day and I love visiting this little island! There's quite a few shops and restaurants on the island that you could easily spend a long weekend here exploring the town and hanging out by the beach. The beach is not crowded at all and it is my perfect idea of a beach trip! I hate when the beach is too crowded and theres no room for you lay a towel down or even walk in between all of the different groups.

What to do for my 25th Birthday

Stephanie Kamp Blog: What to do for my 25th Birthday
Hey guys,

So today's post is going to be kind of short and sweet! My 25th birthday is coming up soon and I am honestly so shocked! I can't believe I'm turning a quarter of a century old! I have little cousins getting their drivers license, starting high school, and starting middle school! It's honestly making me feel so old and I am not a huge fan! But I do plan to celebrate and I want to do something fun and amazing but I'm having a really hard time deciding what to do!

My birthday is less than 6 months away and originally my plan was for my sister, my mom and I to take a girls trip to Italy for like a week or two but we're going on a family trip to Germany this winter instead for about 2 weeks and we all can't take off work for two really long trips. Plus we have random trips before then where we will be requesting off from work.

I've come up with a couple different ideas but I can't really decide what I want to do! Apart of me wants to keep it super low key and just spend the day with my family and boyfriend, eating some of my favorite foods and desserts and just relax! Another idea I have is to spend the weekend at Disney with my family, just relaxing at the hotel, going to the parks, hanging out at Disney Springs!

Last year I went to Halloween Horror Nights with some of my friends and I had a blast so of course I thought about doing that again but with more people this time! I'm turning 25 so of course I should do it big, right? So we would probably rent house up near Orlando and just the spend the weekend hanging out with friends by the pool, or shopping during the day and then go to Halloween Horror Nights at night. However, the downside is that this trip probably wouldn't include my parents because they aren't really into that type of thing so I'm thinking this one would probably be a no!

Anyways, my birthday always includes a trip to the cheesecake factory because I don't actually like birthday cake so I eat cheesecake for my birthday instead! It's absolutely delicious and at least I have this part of my birthday covered! Hopefully I'll think of something soon since most of it involved going out of town, we will need to start booking stuff soon!

If you guys have any ideas please let me know in the comments below!

My 24th Birthday Wish List

Hey guys,

So my 24th birthday is coming up soon and I thought it would be fun to come up with a list of things that I will either be asking for or things that I will be buying myself!

My 24th Birthday Wish List

Some other items that I am asking for but decided not to list are new doors for my bedroom and bathroom and for both of my closets. They desperately need new doors that are not from the 70's. I am also asking for my TV to be mounted on my wall. My tv is currently still at my parents house because I don't have a stand or anything to put in on because I have no room left in my bedroom for anything to put a TV on so I thought it would easier to just mount it on the wall.

It is so weird to say that I'm currently 23 and will be turning 24 soon. I honestly can't believe how fast time flies and I definitely don't feel like I'm 24. Half the time I still feel like I'm 18 and I just graduated from high school. I keep waiting for that moment when I will feel my age but I've been told by many people that you never really feel your age. It really all just depends on what you do in life and how your body ages as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

Tory Burch York Tote

Designer: Tory Burch
Name: York Tote
Color: Carnation Red
Price:$295
 Story:

They wrapped my York Tote because they saw it was my birthday!

I purchased this bag last October in 2014 as a birthday present to myself for my 21st birthday. I had wanted a bag like this for a while and there are so many designers and brands that offer totes exactly like this that are perfect for traveling, school use, or office us. I purchased this bag mostly for traveling since I am taking all of my classes online, I do not need a bag for school. Since there were so many different options out there, I had a hard time making up my mind (especially since I’m known for not being able to decide).  Some other options included the Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Large Tote, the Louis Vuitton Neverful GM, the Kate Spade Cedar Street Medium Harmony, and Rebecca Minkoff Medium M.A.B. Tote.

All of the bags listed will fit a laptop along with many other items such as a wallet, cosmetic case, and other electronic devices. However, the major difference between these bags and the York Tote is that they do not have a padded sleeve for your laptop. The Jet Set Travel Tote used to come with a sleeve inside (I know this because my mom has one in black for when she has to go on business trips) but it no longer does.  I highly recommend each of the bags mentioned but I also recommend doing a lot of research before you finally decide which one you want to purchase.

The York Tote:

I ended up purchasing my York Tote at the Tory Burch store in Tampa, Florida located inside the International Plaza and Bay Street (mall). I really wanted a bag like this and the reason I purchased it was because it was my last day to decide which handbag I wanted to go with. I selected that particular mall because I knew it had a Louis Vuitton store, a Tory Burch store, a Kate Spade store and plenty of stores that would sell the Michael Kors tote and Rebecca Minkoff tote such as a Michael Kors store, Dillard’s, and Nordstrom. So it was the perfect place to make my final decision on which tote I would be purchasing.

I knew that I didn’t really want the Michael Kors tote because my mom already owns it and I know if I needed to borrow it she would let me. So that crossed one of the options off of my list. I was not really in love with the Rebecca Minkoff Medium M.A.B. Tote, I prefer the M.A.B. tote Mini because it is so small and adorable so that crossed another option off the list leaving me with 3 other choices. I knew that I did not really want the Kate Spade tote because I have so many Kate Spade handbags already and I really wanted something I didn’t have or something that I know would last me a really long time. This left me with two options, the Tory Burch York Tote and the Louis Vuitton Neverful GM.

Obviously I ended up selecting the York Tote and there are several reasons why which I have listed out below:

Attached Interior Laptop Sleeve:

The first reason I selected the York Tote was mostly because of the padded laptop sleeve that was provided inside the bag. Since most of the other bags did not offer this feature that is one thing that really made this bag stand out to me. I thought it would be more convenient than having to carry my laptop around in a separate bag or in a separate laptop sleeve placed inside of a different tote.

Many Compartments:

The inside of this bag is amazing, in the middle of the bag there is a padded sleeve for your laptop (I have a 13-inch MacBook Pro and there is still like an inch of room on each side and some room left on top), it also has 4 other open compartments on the inside and another zip compartment. When I am traveling, I like to keep my plane ticket and id in the zip compartment to keep it safe and to make sure I don’t loose them just incase I need to use the restroom before boarding the plane. Other than that, I don’t really keep anything in the zip compartment. One of the 4 open compartments is just the right size for my iPhone 5. The next compartment next to the one where I keep my iPhone is the perfect size to fit my iPad mini with a case on it. I absolutely love it. I am not really sure if that’s what you are supposed to use that compartment for but it works perfectly for me.

On the opposite side of the tote, attached to the zip compartment is two more open compartments which are both the exact same size and I tend to keep my MacBook charger in one of them and it fits perfectly. In the other one, I don’t really have anything specific that I put in it, I will just usually put a pen in it, sometimes a snack, or my iPhone charger and portable iPhone charger. Also, attached to the inside is a little ring so you can clip something to it and on the other side is a clip that you can attach keys to.

Color:

Another reason would be the color, which is carnation red. A few reasons I decided to go with this color is because I thought it was a very pretty color, at the time I did not own any pink handbags or totes, and because at the time a certain percentage of the proceeds went to fund breast cancer research since it was October when I purchased the bag and October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Straps:

The straps on this bag are very thin which I previously mentioned but you kind of get used to them after a while and I highly recommend not overstuffing the bag with stuff you may not necessarily need. They are also adjustable and they have three different lengths. I prefer to keep mine on the last hole to make the straps the longest they can be.  The straps are a little stiff at first and hard to move down or up to the next hole but once you manage to get the first one undone the next three become a little easier.

Other important reasons/information:

Another important detail is what the purse is made out of. The leather is Saffiano, which is a very durable leather and should last quite a while and it will not scratch as easily as other leathers. When I buy a handbag, I prefer to buy Saffiano because they are very structured and I know that they will last me a long time as long as if I make sure to take care of them which I do because of how much money I am spending on the bag.

Another one of the factors that helped me decide is the fact that I currently did not own any Tory Burch handbags and that I had recently purchased a Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandoulière 30 back in March of 2014 and since I am trying to have a variety of designer handbags, I thought it would be best to buy something from a designer I didn’t already have.

Also, the next day, after I purchased the tote I got on a plane in Tampa and flew to Las Vegas, Nevada to celebrate my 21st Birthday with my family. We had the best time and I can’t wait to go back (I’ll share some pictures from the trip down below). I used the bag on the plane to Vegas and back from Vegas and I do not really have much to complain about it other than the fact that the straps are very slim and if you over stuff the bag like I did (because I’m a student and I had to do some school work on the 5 hour plane ride) the straps will start to hurt your shoulder and leave impressions on your skin.

Also, as I have previously mentioned in a recent post, I received the matching wallet for Christmas from my parents. I love having the matching wallet and I really wish they had a matching cosmetic case to go with since I will be using this bag mostly for traveling. However, Tory Burch currently does not offer the matching cosmetic case in the same color as the handbag I selected. Hopefully she will eventually offer it in the carnation red.

I love this bag but the only reason I regret purchasing it is because of the lack of matching accessories. If I had selected another color such as black I would be able to have a couple different options for wallets and a matching cosmetic case. Other than that, I love this bag and I would not have purchased a different one.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned for another post featuring this handbag where I feature what I tend to keep on my carry-on and how I organize it.
