Craving Sunglasses

So I have always been a little obsessed with sunglasses which is why I own over 10 pairs. But as of lately, I have been really addicted to looking at them and picking out which pair I want next. It's been almost a year since I bought my last pair which feels like a really long time to me but since the ones I bought were over $500 I figured I better hold off on buying a new for a little bit. To me, $500 seems a little crazy to spend on a pair of sunglasses that could possibly brake if I accidentally sit on them (which I thankfully never have done that) or if I accidentally drop them on the ground (which I totally have done this before).

So let's check out some of the pairs I have currently wanting:

Polka Dot Denim

Top: Forever 21 (old) also love this and this | Jeans: Juicy Couture (old) similar here and here | Shoes:  BCBGeneration (purchased from DSW, old) also love these and these | Bag: Michael Kors also love this and this | Necklace: Kohl's also love this and this Sunglasses: Kate Spade, similar here and here

Hey guys, I'm really sorry about not posting anything for about a week. I got a little behind because I went out of town and then I also got a little lazy since it's technically my summer break (even though it's not even summer yet). I will try to make sure that I post more this week and in the future. I really enjoy blogging and I hope that I am able to stick with it for a long time.

I love this outfit because of the polka dotted jeans and the pops of color. I also like to wear this outfit with a pink sweater instead of the pink bag and I'll switch it out for either a blue handbag or a white handbag. I hope you enjoyed this outfit and I look forward to posting more outfits that I put together in the future.

Thanks for stopping by!

Shoes for Spring

Hey guys here a few shoes that I have had my eye on for this spring. I really like wearing bright and pastel colors during the springtime because they remind of blooming flowers. Plus most of the time you typically only wear very basic colors during the wintertime so it's nice to be able to wear something bright and cheerful.  My three favorites are 2, 6 and 9. Unfortunately number 10 is no longer available but I basically just love the style of the shoe not necessarily that specific color.

So I know I haven't posted anything in a few days and I am really sorry about that. This post was actually supposed to go up on Saturday and the post that will be going up tomorrow was supposed to go up on Sunday but unfortunately I was unable to get them ready before I went out of town. I actually went to Disney/Orlando for the Mother's Day weekend because we had one last day of our Discover Disney Tickets to use up before they expired (but we actually ended up upgrading our tickets to seasonal passes because we are already planning a trip to the Food and Wine Festival in October that Epcot hosts every year.)

To make up for missing a few days I plan on posting a two posts a day for a couple days once I am able to get a few together. I was on such a good roll for a little while but I just got too busy with other things before we left for our trip. I hope these shoes give you some inspiration during your next shopping trip!

Baby Blue + White Denim

Top: T.J. Maxx similar here and here | Bottoms: Hollister (old) similar here and here | Shoes: G by Guess (old) similar here and here | Handbag: Rebecca Minkoff (old) similar here and here | Sunglasses: Tory Burch | Watch: Fossil | Bracelet: Pandora

Okay so I may have lied. I do wear pants during spring and summer except they are usually only white or cropped or in this case both! If you have lived/live in Florida you would not blame me for not wanting to wear jeans or long pants during the spring and summer. It is so hot and humid here that after only an hour of being outside in jeans you feel like you've been in them for 2 weeks (that may or may not be an over exaggeration).

I absolutely love this color combo, it is perfect for spring. I actually purchased this shirt at T.J. Maxx because every year for my mom's birthday we take a trip to Disney to visit the International Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot and for last few years my mom has decided that we should match or that there is going to be a theme for each day of the trip (such as wearing lace, floral prints, or polka dots). This years theme happened to be dressing like our favorite Disney Princesses (which is apparently called Disney Bounding) and my two princesses were Cinderella and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and this was the shirt I wore for Cinderella.

Here's a picture from day one of our Disney trip this year:

Honestly, I think it's a little toxic for my bank account that T.J. Maxx has a website because this is literally one of my favorite places to shop for clothes and beauty products but mostly home decor items. I haven't purchased anything from the website yet because I recently just found out about it but I'm sure I will be in the future.

I purchased this bag about a year and one month ago. It was my first major high-end designer purchase and I was so nervous when I purchased it because in my opinion, it is a lot of money to spend on a handbag. However, with that being said I did a lot of research before I decided to go with Louis Vuitton and the certain handbag that I had selected.

I knew that I wanted a Louis Vuitton because my family travels a lot and so I have been to many museums where they have vintage Louis Vuitton suitcases that were about 100 years old and most of the time they still looked like they could be used today. I also did a lot of online research and I knew that I wanted a Louis Vuitton handbag to be my first high-end designer handbag because I knew that it would last me a very long time, such as until my grandchildren have grandchildren (okay well maybe not that long but close enough). I've also always been insanely obsessed with Louis Vuitton since about the 6th grade. I had no doubt in my mind that Louis Vuitton was the first handbag I wanted to purchase all on my own.

When I went to the store I had originally picked out the Speedy 30 but when I got there and asked the sales associate if I could see the bag she asked me if I had seen the Speedy Bandoulière and I told her yes, I had but to let me see it anyway so I could compare the two. I wanted to go with the original speedy at first because there is about a $400+ price difference between the two. But I can honestly say that there is a good reason for such a major price difference.

This bag is great because it is very large inside and holds a lot of stuff such as a large wallet, a cosmetic case, a mini umbrella, and many other items that you may need throughout the day (I have even carried it around with my Canon DSLR before). Also, this bag is not very structured which is sort of nice because most of my other handbags are very stiff and structured.

The original Speedy 30 looks like this:

I love the Speedy Bandoulière handbag because it comes with the strap and the strap is literally the best thing ever. The strap that it comes with is convertible, it separates into three different sections and there is a small strap in the middle that can be removed so you can make the strap just a little bit shorter and carry it like a shoulder bag. However, I will typically only use the bag as either a crossbody, in the crook of my arm, or I will hold it by the handles down by my side. I will only remove the small strap in the center if I have been carrying the bag for over 5 or more hours and I need a different way of carrying the bag because my arms/back are too tired.

One recommendation that I have if you own a Louis Vuitton is if you end up getting a box, remember to never put your Louis Vuitton back inside the box once you have taken it out and have been using it. Louis Vuitton handbags are very unique and their leather needs to be able to breathe. Most of the handbags that are made out  (like I said I did a lot of research and this was also something my sales associate told me about). You should only store your handbag in the felt pouch that comes with every handbag.

Also, some other information is that you are never supposed to touch the letter after applying lotions, perfumes, sanitizer, or makeup. The leather is very sensitive and it will start to stain and turn a not so pretty color. If you want the handbag to last for a while then you need to make sure that you are treating it very well.

If anyone is looking for a great handbag that will always stay in style and will last them for many many years, a Louis Vuitton handbag is something that I recommend investing in.

Three other Louis Vuitton styles that are on my shopping list in Monogram Canvas include:

Mint & Polka Dots

Shirt: LC Lauren Conrad (old) similar here | Shorts: American Eagle (old) similar here and here | Shoes: Michael Michael Kors (old) similar here and here| Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (old) similar here and here | Watch: Fossil | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Bracelet: Pandora

I love this shirt from Lauren Conrad (which can be purchased in other colors/patterns at Kohl's). I currently own it in two different colors and I plan on purchasing it in others because it's such a simple shirt. I wash it on the delicate cycle and then let it air dry. It never has to be ironed which is the best part because let's be honest who actually enjoys ironing.

Like I said in a previous post. I mostly only wear shorts during spring/summer because it's so hot and humid in Florida and most of time you wish you could just wear your swimsuit all of the time and jump into any body of water you can find. I also love the color of this shirt. Mint green became very popular a few years ago and I have been obsessed with it ever since. It's so pretty and so perfect for spring!

I hope you enjoyed this outfit and check back for more adorable outfits I put together!

Hey guys, so the Met Gala (or the Met Ball) was last night and this event is one of fashions biggest events of all year. The event is an annual fundraiser to help the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. It is also put on every year to announce the grand opening of Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit. Every year they have a new theme and this years theme was "China: Through the Looking Glass." I think that these celebrities either matched the theme the best or I just really like their unique dress/sense of style.
