Hey guys,
So back in February
when we took our trip to NYC, we actually stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. This is a
hotel that I had been wanting to stay at forever. We checked it out the very
first time we went to New York back in 2007 and I absolutely thought the entire
building was gorgeous!
We arrived at the
hotel, checked our luggage, and made our way to the front desk area to see if
our room was ready. We ended up working with an extremely wonderful/helpful
woman and she even upgraded our room to the Waldorf Towers which is typically
more expensive than the rest of the hotel. The Towers start from a much higher
floor of the hotel and go all the way to the top, which means that your view is
a lot better.
The first two pictures are actually of us girls in the women's restroom at the front of the hotel. You had to go these stairs to get to the actual bathroom and each restroom was a mini room with a toilet and sink. It was very private and there was a bathroom attendant that would pretty much clean the bathroom after each use. My favorite part was the wall of mirrors in the middle of the room!
When you first walked into the room, there was a mini hallway and off to the left was the living area and off to the right was bedroom and bathroom. In the living area there was a desk, a couch, a couple of chairs, and some other pieces of furniture. Our room had a pull out couch (which is where my mom slept) and then in the bedroom there was a King size bed (which my sister and I shared).
The bathroom was absolutely
extravagant! There was a huge tub and a separate shower. There was also another
room right before you entered the bathroom that have a vanity and a closet on
each side of the vanity. The room also had a little sitting area. This room is
typically where we got dressed each morning and I did my makeup at the vanity
each morning. Basically the room was like a mini mansion, it was adorable and I
seriously wish we could have thanked the woman who upgraded our room. It was
very sweet of her!
Once you walked through the living/desk area there was a small kitchen that contained a mini bar, a sink, and a range. There were also a bunch of cabinets but I believe that most, if not all were empty.
I wish I had taken
more pictures of the room but I wasn’t planning on doing a review until we had
already left and my sister mentioned that I should do one.
I wish that we had, had more time to spend in the city but unfortunately our trip was really short.
If you have ever contemplated staying at The Waldorf Astoria, I highly
recommend it because you never know; you may just get upgraded like we did! Even if you can only afford to stay one night then it is definitely something I recommend because it will totally be worth the money. It is more than just a hotel, it's an experience (haha, yeah I know that sounds super cheesy)!
Also, the
hotel is extremely nice, however, it is not modern. So if you prefer a modern
hotel then I would not recommend staying here. The furniture inside the rooms
are very luxurious and royal-ish looking. Basically you will feel like you are
staying in a mini palace!

ReplyDeleteNice Blog for re finishing of furniture. If you favor to have both functional and pretty Teak outdoor furniture, then go for wrought iron furniture. Teak furniture can make your patio area look fashionable and lively. read more
