October 2016 Q&A

Hey guys,

So this months Q&A post is actually a YouTube tag that I found online. It’s called the birthday tag and the reason I selected it is because it’s my birthday month! I thought it would be fun to answer some birthday related questions! I didn’t answer all of the questions from the tag, I only selected 10 to answer and then one of them wasn’t technically a question so I just left it in there and did what it said to do. I hope you enjoy!

The Birthday Tag Q&A:

1.    When is your birthday?

At the end of this month! October 29th

2.    How old are you turning?

I will be turning 23!

3.    How do you usually celebrate your birthday?

My family and I have a tradition of going to my favorite restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory for my birthday! We have been doing this probably since I was 14 or maybe even younger, I can’t really remember haha.

4.    What was the most memorable birthday that you have had?

Probably my 21st when we traveled to Las Vegas. I absolutely loved being able to go back to Las Vegas and actually experience it as an adult. The last time I was too little to actually do anything. We also saw Britney Spears in concert, which was absolutely amazing!

5.    If you had an unlimited amount of money what would you do for your birthday?

I would probably travel back to Paris and celebrate my birthday in The Eiffel Tower!

6.    If you only had one birthday left, what would you do for your birthday?

Spend it with all of my extended family members because I am obsessed with spending time with family and cherishing every moment.

7.    Show a picture from your birthday, preferably an embarrassing one.

Since my birthday is at the end of the month and this is being posted on the first Monday of the month, I will be sharing a couple birthday photo's from last year when I turned 22 and one from when I turned 21! Do you think I've changed much?! I don't haha. None of them are embarrassing though; I don’t really do embarrassing photos haha. I’m super picky and if I don’t think a photo looks good then I will just delete it haha.

The photo below is terrible because I look super awkward haha! I didn't really know how to pose for this picture because the rest of the group dressed up like Taylor from her Shake it Off music video and trying to create poses that matched with the video but since I turned 22 I wanted to dress like Taylor from her 22 music video. By the way, the concert was on Halloween night which is why we dressed up. Taylor dressed up as well and she was Olaf! It was absolutely adorable!

8.    What’s your favorite part about your birthday?

My family typically does birthday months rather than just one day so I actually share the entire month of October with my sister because she was born on October 2^nd. So if we go anywhere or do anything we like to make sure that it is something we both want to do or we take turns picking what to do.

9.    Have you ever been thrown a surprise party or have you ever thrown one for someone?

No, I have never thrown a surprise party and have had a surprise party thrown for me. I actually hate surprises so I would definitely not appreciate getting thrown a surprise party. However, I would love to throw one someday but I am not very good at keeping secrets so I would probably just end up telling the person that I am throwing them a party haha!

10. What was your favorite present that you’ve ever received?

For my 16^th birthday, my grandma (my mom’s mom) gave me a Pink Tourmaline ring. For those of who don’t know, Pink Tourmaline is actually October’s second birthstone. A lot of people don’t know this but some of the months actually have two birthstones. I am not really a big fan of Opal, which is October’s more popular birthstone choice but I love the color pink and when I found out that October actually had two birthstones all I really wanted was to find Pink Tourmaline. Another thing some of you may not know is that Pink Tourmaline is really hard to find. You can find it but it’s most likely going to be lab created and if you do find a real piece it’s most likely going to be pretty pricey. My grandma’s birthday is also in October, which is another reason why the ring is so special to me. I rarely ever wear it but that’s mostly because I really don’t want to lose it, like ever!

And here’s a bonus question just for the fun of it!

What’s one thing that has changed a lot since your last birthday?

One thing that has changed a lot is that I am no longer in college or school in general. It is so weird to be out in the real world and I kind of miss school a lot. I keep going back and forth between really wanting to go back to school for my master’s and not wanting to so I can enjoy my time and life.
