Pink Hair!

So I dyed some parts of my hair pink! What do you think? It’s only temporary and I did it at home with the help of my sister. The top photo is our first attempt and it did not turn out well. We followed the instructions perfectly and when we rinsed my hair out almost all of the dye completely rinsed out.

However, after consulting with a friend who home dyes her hair all the time she told me what we did wrong and so I ended up re-dying my hair the same night and left the dye in for about 2 hours. The color still wasn’t as bright as I was expecting but it didn’t completely wash out of my hair this time! Which you can see in the second photo.

The third photo is our third attempt, which we did the next day and we were able to get the color to turn out a lot better. We left the dye on my hair for about 3 hours and rinsed it out with cold water. We then blow-dried it and I curled it because it looks best when curled (in my opinion).

This photo is day 2 of the color without washing my hair or getting my hair wet. For me personally, this seemed to be the only way I could get the color to actually stay in my hair. As you can see from the photos below the color fades a little each day just from me brushing it out.

On the 3^rd day of the color without washing my hair, I had my sister fishtail my hair (because I cannot do my own at all haha). It turned out really cool and I like how the pink goes all the way throughout the braid.

The last day (4^th day) without washing my hair is the one where I’m in the convertible and as you can see it has faded even a little bit more. I ended up washing my hair after that and the color was still there but only in a few places and it was very light.

The following weekend, I ended up re-dying it again because I still had a little bit of dye leftover and it was 4^th of July weekend so I wanted something festive! This photo was taken on a boat so basically by the end all of my curls were completely gone because it was so windy.

This is my last weekend with pink hair and it was a lot of fun having pink hair! It’s something that I have wanted to do for a really long time but was too scared because I am really obsessed with my blonde hair and I was scared I would mess I up somehow. I do not regret dying my hair pink even though it was only for a short period of time. If you have ever wanted to dye some of your hair or even your whole head a crazy color, I highly recommend doing it. However, if you are not allowed to because of school or work then I do not recommend it. Also, I might do a review on the hair dye that I used.
