2017 New Year's Resolutions

2017 New Year's Resolutions
Hey guys,

So I don't really do resolutions per se, I mostly just do random goals that I want to complete before the year is over. I have never really been a big fan of resolutions considering most people give them up before the end of January. In my opinion, we all struggle with staying on top of things and actually completing tasks (it's different for each of us, it just depends on what it is) which is why I think so many people give up their resolutions and just completely forget about them.

So my goals for 2017 are to...

1) Continue to blog as much as I possible can

I love blogging and even if I don't ever make any money from it, I still want to continue to blog mostly just because I never really got into journaling growing up and so this is a way for my to be able to get all of the crazy ideas and words that I have floating around in my head out and let the world see to.

2) Travel to some new countries or possibly travel back to some favorite countries

I seriously want to go back to Ireland, like hands down, it was probably my favorite country that we traveled to last year. I recommend it to everyone and I think everyone should go at least once. My mom, my sister and I keep talking about how much we want to go back. And don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved Paris but my favorite part about Paris was finally getting to see the Eiffel Tower.

I prefer Ireland because we got to see so much of this country. It's much smaller than the rest, I guess, I'm not really sure haha. It felt smaller because we would travel by car every day for like an hour or two and we would be a new popular city. When we looked up places to travel to in London and Paris, all of the popular cities were like a 2 hour train ride on a train that travels much faster than a car. Also, Ireland is just spectacular. The views are absolutely amazing and every city you go to doesn't seem to disappoint in anyway.

Plus, the people were so friendly no matter where you were. They didn't care if you randomly started talking to them, they actually preferred it. They love to talk about anything and everything. It's absolutely amazing!

3) Earn enough money to pay for all of my bills instead of having my parents help me out

I'm still searching for another job and I'm seriously hoping that I am able to get something soon. I hate having to rely on other people and I also feel bad for having my parent's pay for things that I feel like I should be paying for.

4) Finally learn to speak French a little better

Even though I took 4 years in high school and 2 semesters in college, I never really paid attention to actually learning the language. I mostly just focused on learning and memorizing what I needed to know for each homework assignment, quiz, or exam and that was about it. I also think that it would be nice to try and learn some more Spanish and maybe some German.

5) Start saving money for my clothing boutique that I plan to open some day

This is literally my dream career, to start a small clothing boutique in Southwest Florida and eventually create my own little empire haha. I always wanted to be a CEO and owner of my own company but you have to walk before you can run so I think starting small and working my way up is how it will go!

6) Meet some new people and continue to grow current relationships

I love meeting new people! I have no problem going up to random people and starting a conversation with them (I get it from my dad hahah). Unless there's a super cute boy involved, then you can just forget about it. But I would love to make some new friends while continuing to grow the current relationships I already have.

7) Spend more time with family

I love spending time with my family and hanging out with all of my aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. Family time is the best time! and this one makes my goal list every year and somehow, I always feel like I never actually spend that much time with my family.

8) Pick up a new hobby

I now consider blogging a hobby and I would love to be able to pick up another one and maybe learn some new things. I want to expand my horizons and try to accomplish as much in life as I possibly can. You know, live life to the fullest and whatnot.

9) Start making youtube videos

I have so many ideas for videos, I just seriously need to get over my fear of being in front of the camera and just do it already!

10) Buy another designer handbag

I would really love another Louis. I don't know why but I have this obsession with them and there's like 5 other Louis Vuitton handbags that I want before I decide to move onto another designer.

I have my eye on several different styles from several different brands. The only thing I am lacking right now is the funds to actually buy the handbags haha so hopefully I will be able to complete number 3 and still have enough money leftover so I can buy a new handbag.

I obviously have my 25 things to do before I'm 25 list and so some of those are on my list of goals to accomplish this year as well. I didn't accomplish that much last year and so I need to really catch up this year with that list haha. I think I might have to print it out and tape it to my wall or inside my planner make sure that I am constantly being reminded of this list so I can actually complete it before I turn 25. PS. After I turn 25, I totally plan on writing a list of 30 things to do before I turn 30 (here's hoping I'm still blogging by then haha).

Another goal that I was talking about with my sister, is that I want to try and figure out how to make our grass as green as possible and healthy looking as well. Our parents have the most amazing grass and I would love to be able to grass at our house that looks just like theirs. I'm not entirely sure why, but I feel like it would just make us feel so much more successful as homeowners haha.

XO, Steph
